The sturdy yet delicate legs of a praying mantis sparked my thought process. The precise diagonal lines and angles created felt like a good point to jump off from.

After making ortho sketches and a 1/4 scale mock-up for a 4 legged plant holder, I wanted to push myself even further and created a version with only 3 legs and a more complex vertex

Upon making a scaled down version of this 3 legged object, I began to understand how integral angle precision would be for each to meet at the right angles in the right locations.
